Would you love to work for a small privately held web based firm? Would you enjoy being both somewhat technical (SQL, Excel, etc.) and client facing? If so, this could be the role for you!
In this position, you will be responsible for administering and implementing the firm's processes, practices and procedures. The ideal candidate will process highly confidential insurance transactions; including eligibility, billing, collecting and posting of premiums.
As a Business Analyst, you'll be responsible for forging and maintaining healthy partner, vendor and client relationships while working with a proficient client-facing team.
Lead or participate in client and internal planning meetings for all assigned projects.
Gather and document system requirements (while remaining within the scope of the project) by organizing client provided information and business rules, sharing best practices and maintaining client expectations.
Update and maintain all requirements and specification documents while ensuring adherence to their standards.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development using standard templates.
Utilize technology (SQL, Excel, Access, text editors, etc) to analyze data, isolate and resolve issues and plan automated solutions.
Understand statement of work and maintain responsibility for any changes by providing work and hours necessary to draft the requested changes.
Work closely with the team (Account Specialists, other business analysts, software developers, sales team) to ensure project requirements are understood and within the firm's standards.
SQL, Excel, Access
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business, benefits administration, accounting, human resource management or related field.
