|Detailed Job Description:
The Marketing Manager, reporting to the Executive Director, International Marketing, will be the lead marketing contact in the New York office for the China team. The key job responsibility is to manage the relationship with the China team and the Asia Regional team to execute the strategy for China, ensuring all brand guidelines are followed to reinforce the global brand image and positioning, maintain strong brand equity and deliver outstanding business results. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing other new market launches in close support of the International team directives as expansion occurs, helping to define the launch strategy and partner with the local teams to execute the marketing strategy.
This position will require strong communication skills, attention to detail, a high sensitivity to timeline management and must be able to foster effective relationships with internal and external partners.
Manage communications and relationships between the global teams and the team in China, running weekly meetings that bring together all of the key stakeholders, create action plans and follow-up on plans to meet deliverables.
Collaborate with China team, define the marketing strategy and launch calendar for the brand in China. Prepare launch briefs and work with the global teams to deliver 360 launch support and assets. Review and approve all creative requests from the China team.
Identify region-specific needs and align priorities with the global team
Collaborate with the China team to brief visual merchandising requests and support for new door openings and events
Review China product forecasts and liaise with Operations team to ensure timely product registration & forecasting for all launches in China. Work with China team to review ongoing base business forecasts. Define assortment for different distribution channels.
Partner with the China team to define market pricing for all price increases and new product launches
Support the Global Communications & China teams with any PR and Digital initiatives
Assist with the launch of marketing, e-commerce and e-retail websites; helping the team to define the strategy for these channels and secure the necessary assets.
Analyze brand performance, market performance and competitor activity in China & share best practices and insights with the Regional & Global teams
Prepare China launch updates for Senior Management presentations
Regularly share updated launch plans, assets and forecast guidelines with the China team
New Market Openings
Manage market expansion and support the International Business Development team with any new market openings,
Analyze market performance and market research to gather insights and provide recommendations for launches
Partner with local teams to identify region-specific assets/needs and align priorities with the global team
Brief required assets and specific market needs
BA/BS degree required
4+ years in global or operational marketing
Retail Marketing experience a plus
Mandarin language fluency is required; other languages are a plus
International business experience a plus
Superior written and verbal communication skills required
Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience working with different cultures - dynamic, flexible, collaborative, positive attitude and great team spirit. Experience working across time zones while effectively managing expectations of deliverables.
Strong organization, prioritization, timeline management and analytic skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity
