Detailed Job Description:
Our client is Non-Profit organization located in Upper West Side. Looking for a Senior General Accounting Manager who will be responsible for Accounting/Treasury Group. He/she will be responsible for financial statements, accurate monthly reporting, annual capital budgets and monitoring against the budget.

Oversee development of annual expense budget and monitors the monthly budget. Ensures that monthly financial statements and budget analyses are available within 15 days after month-end.
Produce monthly and year-end financial statements and coordinates annual audit.
Assist with the oversight of financial portions of NAV calculations for retirement income resources, investment fund unit values, annuity unit values and expected portfolio income.
Interface with Investment Department in accounting for investments, settling investment transactions and administering online computer systems with custodian banks.
Coordinate and manages banking relationships including custody, checking, payroll, securities lending, cash management, monthly benefits and controlled disbursements payments.
Ensure proper reconciliation of restricted versus non-restricted fund balance and documentation for restricted balance.
Maintain current knowledge of applicable accounting standards and procedures.
As directed, works with audit committee to assist the General Auditor.
Interface with internal and external auditors to fulfill requests and respond to audit questions
Prepare variance analyses and written Executive Summary reports
Special projects, including participation in financial system implementation projects, as assigned
Required Skills:
Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. CPA required.
Strong leadership skills with a commitment to high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
Supervisory experience including management-level staff.
Skills in budget formulation and management and financial systems. Great Plains software.
